The Location
We'll be celebrating at Ross' parent's home just outside the village of Auchencairn, in South West Scotland. We recommend having a look on the map below to get an idea of where you'll be going.
What to Wear
There's no need to wear anything too formal. We'd rather you were all comfortable, a bit snazzy and ready for a Cèilidh dance. Kilts are very much welcome, as well as dresses, saris, jackets, kandoras, huipils, chintenge and batik. No need for morning suits, hats or fascinators.
Ross will be wearing a kilt, shirt and waistcoat. Travis will not be wearing flip flops (!!), but rather tweed trousers and a waistcoat. Check out the image on the home page to get a better idea!

Where to Stay
Auchencairn has a few places to stay, but there is a bit more choice in Kirkcudbright, which is 20 mins away by car.
To make things a bit easier, we've collated some hotels and Airbnbs in the following Google Sheet.

Event Schedule
Arrive from 3pm
Dinner at 5:30pm
Ceilidh at 7:30pm
Bonfire at 10:00pm
Wrap up at 11:30pm

Visiting Scotland
For those of you visiting Scotland for the first time (or wanting holiday ideas), we have a few suggestions of things to see and do.
If you're staying in Edinburgh, we suggest accommodation in Edinburgh Old Town (within 0.5 miles of the Royal Mile). There are loads of Airbnb and hotel options online.
For things to do and restaurants to go to, click HERE and you'll be sent to a Google Sheet with some suggestions.
If you're looking to explore Auchencairn and its surrounding villages, then click HERE.
If you're heading to the Highlands, click HERE and you'll be sent to our Breacans website. This has an itinerary for visiting the Highlands, for a trip we hosted back in 2019. We're obviously not hosting a a trip this year, but you're welcome to use the itinerary as you please.
